Critiques welcome

Hey all, this is a continuation of a song that I posted a while back (Part 1, which has since been changed slightly), so here's part 2.

Bring to Light

Suspect interrogation,
“What were your ties to the crime?”
Nervous conversation,
“I told you I do not lie!”

Cornered isolation,
“What were the thoughts that possessed you?”
Uncertain of solution,
“All I have said is true!”

This has taken far too long,
The killer’s still lurking.
Blood still on his hands,
Perhaps a new approach.

“Check the victim’s medical records,
They might lead the way.
Psychologists and disease,
He could have been insane.”

He suffered from delusions,
The history has shown.
Had rehabilitation
Cleansed him of his scorn?

This has taken far too long,
Nothing is working.
Hope remains in our hands,
Perhaps a new approach.

“Search the victim’s household quarters,
It might lead the way.
Complete a thorough inspection
Or this mystery’s here to stay.”

He shrouds his life in mystery.
Can’t withstand the truth.
He realized and understood,
And remained in denial.

This has taken far too long,
Evidence circling.
Proof lies in his hands,
Now the final approach.
The findings in his home,
Set this case in stone.
The man had been alone,
The doing was his own.

Depression takes its toll.
